Southern Legends Throwdown 50+ Fitness Partner Competition

Welcome to the SECOND annual Southern Legends Throwdown: 50+ Fitness Competition! This event is all about celebrating the strength and perseverance of our older athletes. On Saturday, August 17th, 2023 at 8:00am, we'll be kicking off the competition at 3Star Crossfit!

Our competitors will be pushing themselves to the limit in a variety of fitness challenges, from weightlifting to endurance tests.

The divisions will be below:

The Newbies (must be able to perform the below)

• Squat to a 20in box or lower
• DB Snatch at least 15#(F)/25#(M)
• Jumping pull ups
• Russian KB swing at least 18#(F)/26#(M)
• Run >100m
• DB Thruster (in ea hand) 10#(F), 20#(M)
• Deadlift 45#(F), 75#(M)

The Crafty Veterans (must be able to perform the below)

• Squat below parallel
• DB Snatch at least 25#(F)/35#(M)
• Pull Ups
• Russian KB swing at least 26#(F)/35#(M)
• Run >200m
• DB Thruster (in ea hand) 20#(F), 30#(M)
• Deadlift 75#(F), 105#(M)

You can have M/M OR F/F for either division.

There will be a total of 4 workouts which will be announced closer to the date. A workout will be done every hour on the hour with the workouts being a max of 10-15 minutes long each. More details to come as we finalize teams/heats/vendors/etc.
